Adventure with us as we travel the country in search of history, great scenery, mass quantities of wild life, disc golf courses, microbreweries, fun people and some awesome campgrounds to park our home on wheels. We also hope to do a lot of dispersed camping in the Southwest as well. There will be sunny days and there will be cloudy days but a day without laughter is a day wasted!! ROLL ON!!

Checking it out!!

It is Wednesday and we have not done a dam thing.  Well maybe we did some stuff but not worth posting.  OK, OK I will tell you of all the not worthy stuff.  Laundry, swimming, out for pizza, walking about the park and cleaning the kitchen we will be working in.  I have also talked to everyone that we encounter and listen to their story.  Only telling ours if asked.  Man people like to talk!! Took a couple of pictures of the resort while out and about walking.  People are starting to trickle in and the park should be hopping by November 1st.  The Cafe is preparing to open, and we are ready to work a bit.

We have been swimming almost daily.  They have 2 pools here.  The smaller stays open year-round and the larger in the rec area has just opened. I think the rec area is going to be a hopping place.  They have lots of pickle ball, shuffleboard, bocce ball, tennis, pool tables, card rooms, craft rooms, libraries, and games.  I cannot wait to see the activity schedule.  Not that we will participate in all but I am sure some.

This is the tiny library, and game room close to the small pool.   We hung out here and played cards and listened to music one day when we were bored.

Dick found us a beer fest to go to.  It was about an hour and a half away in California at a desert museum.  I guess it was their fund raiser.  Only 8 beers and some hard seltzers and some other 11 % fruity things to drink but it was still fun, and we got fed brats and kraut as well.  The ride there was pretty straight and flat, but we saw some sand dunes and pretty skies after a stormy day.  The desert museum also had lots of cacti all over the place.

I will not ever get use to watching football at 10am.  Especially when you have to go to a bar at that time to do so.  I ordered COFFEE!  This was a first for me.  I felt out of place so I got a mango habanero margarita.  Still way to early to drink!!

As we settle in, life will become more routine, and I will still post every week, but it will definitely be shorter and maybe more boring depending on the adventures we take.  Heading to Mexico on Thursday so that should be some excitement for the next post.  And surely there will be a death story there for sure.
