We are transitioning from one cutie to another. Loads of fun was had in Raleigh, NC. Overload on food, beer but never family. We did lots of parks, playing, museums and crafting fun.
A bit of disc golf of course!!
This one is a poser for sure!!
Leaf rubbing and painting was fun. My children know I love artsy fartsy projects, so you can bet the grands will get some fabulous artwork, to hang on their refrigerators!
Salt dough! A blast from the past!
Visited 5 Trolls! These guys are all over the country/world and are amazing. Check the troll map online and find some trolls in your neck of the woods
To finish off our troll adventure.......beer!!
Hugs with Charley. You are never too old for Mama hugs!!
Made it to Beaver Pennsylvania for more family. This is the last family stop before we head to Canada. Our WHOLE immediate family converged here for a family photo. Hard to believe 2 grandsons got leave from the Army at the same time to make this happen. Aside from all our unprofessional photos, our daughter set up professional photographer for a ton of pictures. If the next time you see me my face has a smile it's because the permagrin from taking so many photos has not worn off & because it was super fabulous to have everyone together. This doesn't happen often and when it does, smiles are inevitable.
Harriet and Lily swinging like monkeys!
Knee keeps popping! Dang!!
Roni and I are same same with our fans on a hot day in the yard.
The three granddaughters
All the grandkids! Can't wait to see all the professional photos but super happy this one turned out awesome!
These cousins do not see each other a ton, but when they do fun is had.
Another crafty day. Harriet and I made snakes out of an egg carton!
Roni rented a pontoon boat, and we had a lovely day on the lake swimming and eating. It was a mostly cloudy day but warm and the sun peaked through from time to time. Alex and her 3 week old new knee even jumped in the water.
Princess Harriet at the nail salon! What a good nail tech. He even speaks English.
Followed an eagle along the shore of the lake. Love seeing these fly around. Not many if any in Arizonia so always on the lookout when we head north.
Boys went out to disc golf, so we girls went blueberry picking then to the farmers market and had a picnic in the park!
Brennan eating the most giant wings I have ever seen!
Bowling for the 1st time for Harriet. It was a blast to watch! Dick walked away with high score of 186 and didn't even have to use the bumpers or the ball rolling thingy!
On a walk about the neighborhood there was a fairy garden the Harriet just stops to look at on her walkabouts.
Merica!
We went to watch the biggest steam engine in the world on its journey across America. Walked to the top of a bridge and waited for it to roll by. Very patriotic colorful train for the countries 250th!
Many laughs in the back yard of Ronis house. We also had visitors from West Virginia & Ohio while here. Dicks cousin from Ohio and brother from West Virginia. Wherever we go we feel the love of family and friends who come to visit. Life is good!
Andy (our most favorite fisherman son in law) went fishing and brought back a load of Walley! Smoked a bunch in different seasoning and gave us some of each and some fillets we till cook up later in our travels. YUM! Thanks Andy!
Roni laughing at some random thing but laughing just the same. 3 year olds bring lost of JOY, or patients.
We left Charley and Ana back in Raleigh, but she sent her annual sunflower picture, and it is worthy of posting!
Another playground. I swear that all these kids do is play, play, play!! Kind of like what retired people do!
This was a decent box of wine. The best part was that it was round. A circle has no end but this box will. I tried to finish it but there was bourbon and beer in between all the glasses of wine so it didn't happen. Do not fear....I did not almost die from consumption.
More Beer!
and a great woodfired Chicken Cesar Salad Pizza! Who would have thunk that I could eat healthy on a road trip!!
Well we slept in the car again and watched a couple of episodes of the new Little House on the Prairie. Yes, I cried. Whoever doesn't cry at Little House on the Prairie is just not right in the head. Touchy on the feeling shows are the best.
Pictures are way out of order, and this is Dick sweating his ass of spinning honey out of some bee thing in a bee thing. Sorry I do not know the terminology is a but I am having a brain fart after having a couple of high alcohol beers! Can't wait to taste all the goodness of these spins!
Contemplating more beer!
OH BOY did we hit the jackpot in Worcester, Massachusetts. A bakery/deli/coffee shop owned by peoples that speak another language but know my language in food. What a great place. We will go again tomorrow before we leave this place. I could live next to this place and be happy forever.
I know you probably do not care about all this Italian Mediterranean goodness, but I do and wanted to remember all the things and wonder why every store doesn't carry all this fabulous stuff! I could be happy living the life of a fat Italian (really Polish) women.
Dick played disc golf at Maple Hills (one of the top-rated courses in the country) Shot 1 under and had a blast. This was the disc store across the way. There were many isles of just the same and a whole other warehouse on the ground. We are so lucky to have left just spending $10. Glad he didn't spend his whole Social Security check!😂😂😅😆
Another brewery!! So delicious was the food and the beer. We did not eat moose!
We are leaving Worcester tomorrow and heading north. Maybe the weather will chill in our travels!
