We are at the end of our friend journey in Canada!  Such a blast with so many good people!  Roger and Linda were fabulous hosts!  I am so glad that someone loves to cook like me! We for sure have to go on a diet after all the food we ate at their house and while we were out and about.

We went on a trip to a couple of different breweries in Edmonton and met some stranger that quickly became our friends.  They seemed to be at every brewery we went to and we had fun with them.  Roger even shared his Cheezys with them.  

Dick was loving the mowing!  Can't remember the last time he did this!

Roger and Linda have had many visitors over the years and have probably shown them all the things there are to see in the area.  I suggested we do something she has never done. We have never done a corn maze so.......fun was had and no one got lost!

Some of the corn was pretty short because of the excessive rain, but most was so tall you could not see over it.  We had a great time!

Dick was dreaming in the liquor store and thinking of buying a case of bourbon.  We brought 7 bottles into the country.  Drank and gave away along the way and left the country with 7 bottles. 

Here we are along the way to Jasper.  Disappointed that the rain was with us most of the way, but Jasper was nothing to write home about.  In 2024 it suffered from much fire, and it was super depressing to see all the burned forests.  We dis however walk about the town getting rebuilt and found a brewery to have a bite to eat and a beer to quench our thirst.  I should be in shape from all this walking but along with all the walking came all the food.

Surprised to find a bit of wildlife in the burned mess. We have seen almost nothing in regard to wildlife all the way across the country & not sure what these guys were eating because every inch of forest was missing.

Here we are again trying to perfect that selfie look!  I do believe this is something we will never perfect!   

Stopped at a waterfall on our way to Banff.  Such a beautiful trail and views for all angles.

Even the skies cleared for us and the Rain went away!  I can see the mountains again.  Yippee 

Short lived were the clear skies.  Dick went disc golfing on a course next to the Olympic venue for cross country skiing.  We have seen a couple of different venues from past Olympics on this trip.  So cool to see this one still active and probably will be forever since they have so dang much snow in this neck of the woods.

The fun has arrived Roni, Dan and little Harriet have arrived in Banff!  Much fun to look forward to and far to many steps.  My feet will need at least a week to recover!

I absolutely love that our kids can travel to meet us!!

The mountain waters will always amaze me with their clarity and colors.  Roni, Dan, & Dick went on a hike alone.  Harriet wanted no part of it.  OK maybe I wanted no part of it but it is way more fun to blame it on a child!

Looks like Harriet mad the right decision!!!  I would have died for sure on this adventure.  Probable because Dick is such a kit and would have had to swing the bridge in turn making me scream and freak out and fall to my death!

We had way more fun eating ice cream and being silly.  Our day was filled with painting, pretending, reading a book and watching a movie with popcorn and M&Ms.

Wildlife I did not see.  These guys were somewhere on the journey to or from the death bridge.

Took a little hike to see the mountains called the 3 sisters. Trail head begun by going under a road.

Here are the 3 sisters.  I can tell you for certainty that they are not identical or look anything alike. They were however beautiful and the day was perfect.

We did a little boat tour to view more pretty.

A stranger that didn't even speak English took it. Over all our years of travel the English language is not the prominent language in touristy areas but everyone understands....Hey, take my picture when you nicely thrust your camera at them.

This seems like a bad idea.  Almost as bad as texting and walking! There really are a ton of oblivious people out there who have no clue what is going on around them.  

Roni, Dan and Harriet have left us all alone again and we are heading out of Banff to see more wildlife.  South bound to home along some roads we have not been and some we have.

Big sky country lives up to its name once again.

Moving into Utah then Arizonia to see pretty rocks!

It has been a great summer with great adventures, great people and great scenery!  

Don't fly people!!  You miss so much!  It may take longer but it is so worth the ride.  I am super thankful for Dick doing most of the driving so I could take in all the beauty.  If I were to drive, he would sleep the whole way and miss everything.  He was happy to drive and happy for the views he saw.  Way better than studying the back of your eyelids.

Over 14,000 miles with so many stops along the way.  Wonder where we will go next!!
