We arrived in Wisconsin downsized our rig, and were caught in a tornado and landed on this roof!! Ok maybe not but just had to take a picture of this and wonder why??
This is the very bestest picture of our children! I should print this one!!
We landed our trailer at Dicks Cousins house and could not have been happier with our stay here. Great people, great food, great pool for swimming, great sitting area they call the veranda, and a huge garage for us to use for all our stuff. Oh, and it is a great place for Dick to take one of his many daily naps!!
This is where we parked in their drive way. Many a beautiful sunrise and sunsets from the back yard!!
While the home was planted in Fond du Lac, we ventured to OHIO for the Labor Day weekend as has been tradition for many, may years! Mostly we have made this trip every year and for good reason!! FAMILY!! We started a small fire to try to finish burning a big log that has been in the fire pit for years. We failed but put a dent in it. We also visited the county fair with our daughter Roni, son in law Dan and the beautiful grand daughter, Harriet! Who doesn't want love a fair and a fire. We had lots more fun with family in Ohio but unfortunately I didn't take many pictures. That OK! We get to see them all in a month at a wedding in Wisconsin.
After Ohio we venture to see our Daughter Alexs new house. I official should be fired from this blog for not taking any pictures here either. It was however an awesome place and if anyone was around we may have stayed longer. Dang school and work obligations that some people have! We drove over to Ronis house to visit as well because it was close and spent 2 days there. At both places we picked up some of our belongings that were at Alexs old house and sorted and got rid of more stuff. You would think by now we wouldn't have any more stuff to get rid of, but the kids are still storing a few little things. Hope we are not stressing their storage space!!
Back to the beauty of our Fond du Lac home!!
While here in Wisconsin we ventured up to the lake Michigan shore to attend a celebration of life for Dick cousin Gwen and her husband Don. It was a great ceremony and we got to see more extended family. Again, NO PICTURES!
While visiting Dicks brother Dennis and wife Ann, I got to do one of my favorite things!! PAINT! I got to do a door and a floor. Yippy!! Thanks for letting me paint!
We got to look through some old photos while at Ronis house and found this one of a very scared looking couple right before their wedding!! What the heck were they thinking!!
The kids in Ireland many moons ago. If I can't take current pictures, maybe these oldies will do!!
Harvest full moon on the rise! Howled with the wolves. I never saw a wolf in Wisconsin but I know there are a lot of annoying barking dogs!!
When in Ohio we got a money plant from Will (Dicks cousins Kims son). It is the first real plant I have had in my home on wheels. I hope I can keep it alive and from bouncing out of it home as we travel all the horrific road of the United States.
Off to Wisconsin Dells for Robby's wedding. This was our main reason for returning to Wisconsin this year. Seeing all the family in one place is kind of hard and weddings seem to bring family together. This wedding did not disappoint. Wisconsin Dells is beautiful, and we took advantage of the extra time we had there and went on a boat tour with the Ohio Cousins. Sooooo pretty!! They let us off the boat to take a small walk between the rock formations and we were quite amazed!
Dick stopped this hot chick on the path and made me take a picture of them. Cousin love!!
Wedding is over and we are now on our way south. 1st stop.... a really great brewery in Iowa. Where else would you have thought we would go silly!!! We parked in their parking lot for the night and were treated to more beautiful skys!!
This is ART! or so someone thinks!! Actually Roni photographed the making of this thing when in college and we happened past it so toot a picture!
This is what the plain states look like. We all have to go through them eventually but just a warning.....Drink coffee!!
That's all for now!! At the present we are in Oklahoma & more adventures to come!!
