Adventure with us as we travel the country in search of history, great scenery, mass quantities of wild life, disc golf courses, microbreweries, fun people and some awesome campgrounds to park our home on wheels. We also hope to do a lot of dispersed camping in the Southwest as well. There will be sunny days and there will be cloudy days but a day without laughter is a day wasted!! ROLL ON!!

Northern Oregon & beyond

Moving on to our next adventures! We left southern Oregon and headed maybe 3-1/2 hours north ending up at a Distillery parking lot. As you may know, we joined Harvest Hosts and this was one of the spots on the map to spend a night for free in return, support the business some how. Well obviously these kind of stops are more costly than campgrounds but they have unique experiences. We got the grand tour because they were closed for normal business and we tasted every spirit they made and had a free mule to boot with their bourbon and mixing vinegar. Yuck, vinigar you say! No way, it was yum!!!  We bought bourbon, mixing vinegar and some gin. Ask next time I see you and I'll mix you this concoction! It was a great $75 free stay!🀣

Another free stay the next day at

The Farmers Cup!

We parked and went in their cute little store, bought a few things, picked blueberries and had a great time sitting around their picnic tables after they closed and playing cards.

We dropped off our trailer in LaGrande, OR for a bit of maintenance and headed back toward the Columbia River Gorge. We stopped in Pendleton, OR and wen on their underground tour. It was all about prohibition, prostitution, Chinese labor, opium dens, gambling and history below the city over the course of many years. Super interesting. My first time in a brothel. Not sure if it was Dicks 1st time but I'm not asking!!!

We headed to our cheesy motel for 3 nights before we meet up with Charley & Ana and on the way there was fabulous views of the gorge.

Many vineyards along the way

How many Stonehenges replicas are there in this world and what is the fascination? I will not Google that one but will visit if we see one along the way. This one had great views of the Columbia River below and Dick is pointing to our cheesy motel across the way.

We stopped at a state oark to walk around the campground for future use. Maybe! And Dick skipped rocks and I marveled at the giant river.

On to a brewery!

Cool art work!

Finally a tree for womenπŸ€£πŸ˜‚

We met up with Charley & Ana for Columbia River Gorge adventures, waterfalls, and then beach adventures at Cannon Beach in Seaside, Oregon snd we even drove to Astoria for Goonies adventures! Fun was definitely had and there were sore feet and legs from all the up downs to and from waterfalls hikes and sore ankles and knees from beach sand walks, but we'll worth all the amazing things we saw. Enjoy all the pictures with minimal sparky commentary πŸ˜€
