Adventure with us as we travel the country in search of history, great scenery, mass quantities of wild life, disc golf courses, microbreweries, fun people and some awesome campgrounds to park our home on wheels. We also hope to do a lot of dispersed camping in the Southwest as well. There will be sunny days and there will be cloudy days but a day without laughter is a day wasted!! ROLL ON!!

A Few Things

Hola!!  Not a lot of super exciting things since the last episode but we did head out to the desert a couple of times!  Beautiful pictures from not even halfway up the mountain.  We saw this HUGE elk when we returned to flat ground.  Again, I am claiming that there is no wildlife in Yuma, AZ

One of the activities we have to work for is the horse racing.  This is like watching a snail crawl through a molasses river!!  Painfully boring to me but the people who live here like it. We have to grill up cheepy hotdogs and sell throughout the races. Thank goodness it is only about an hour and a half.  The smell of hotdogs makes me nauseous.  I did make some names for the jockey vests for the next time we do this.  Maybe that will make it more fun.  Thank goodness it is only every other week!

Another trip to the desert for the monthly gathering of Howling at the MOON!!
Yes people (hundreds and hundreds) gather and sit around in the afternoon hours drinking, eating and listening to live music waiting for the full moon to rise over the mountains and then........HOWL at the moon.  It was a beautiful night and we got to experience something unusual.  Always be on the lookout for the strange in life because sometimes it turns out to be fun. Next time we go we will be more prepared with chairs, food and beverages.  We have our emergency bottle of Buffalo Trace in the truck with some plastic mini wine glasses we got from some tasting, and we sat on the tailgate and watched all the people.  There were a ton of desert buggies zooming around and people were having a great time.  Lots of campers and campfires in the area as well.  Not really a camping area except for full moon nights.

Dick ditched me to go to Wisconsin so for fun I gave a power red donation!  There was a creepy face in the tiny blood bad looking at me the whole time.  After wards I needed to replenish my blood alcohol content and eat some food, so I went to the brewery downtown.  I spent about an hour walking through a little boutique (something I could not have done with Dick) Alone time is good sometimes and the best thing is I get control of the remote!!

Gonna go painting again tonight.  I know you cannot wait to see this next fabulous piece of art!!!
